A while back, I went to a local library book sale and picked up 3 books by Mitch Albom. Having never read a single one of his books (that I could remember reading), I knew that The Five People You Meet in Heaven was one that I had to read one day. Little did I know that it would not only be a book I would read one day, but it would be one that I would read IN one day.

This book was hauntingly beautiful. Eddie died one day, trying to save the life of a young girl, and meets 5 people once he arrives in heaven. The way the stories intertwined with one another, and each unique story gave me all the feelings. The book follows Eddie through his life at different birthdays he celebrated in his 80+ years, and each person he meets in heaven provided him, and us, with lessons. Mitch Albom was able to tell the story in such a way that made me feel very connected to Eddie and each of the people he met in heaven. Even if they had never met during his life, all their stories came together beautifully in the end.
I know this will not be the only Mitch Albom book that I read, and cannot wait to dive into his world even further. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
