Oh boy, do I love me a good YA thriller! The Cellar by Natasha Preston was an impulse buy at Barnes and Noble one afternoon, and one that I would not come to regret!

Summer, or Lily as she was now referred, was a typical 16 year old girl who made the mistake one day of walking home alone. She was kidnapped by a deranged man who wasn't just kidnapping for the sake of kidnapping, but was adding to his garden of flowers locked in his cellar. Over the years, Clover, as this man liked to be referred, and the group of girls he had kidnapped and renamed after different flowers, were being held captive in his cellar. And if things didn't go his way, he would kill. The story follows 8 months of hell in the cellar of Clover's house, while on the outside, Summer's boyfriend, Lewis, is doing everything he can to solve his girlfriend's disappearance.
While the end was slightly predictable, the story was still a thrilling one to read, and made me want to read more books by Natasha Preston. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
