June Wrap Up

Summer is officially here, and the pool is open, so that means SO MANY BOOKS! In June, I read 12 books, and officially met my Goodreads goal for 2021! Everything here on out is icing on top of an already iced cake.

I didn't have any 1 or 2 star reads, but not all of the books were winners for me. My 3 star reads included:

That Summer by Jennifer Weiner (no relation)

The Maidens by Alex Michaelides

&

The Kindest Lie by Nancy Johnson

I give a 3 star rating for books that I enjoyed reading, but didn't love. The stories fell flat for me somewhere. Either they were too confusing with too many characters and plot points, or they just didn't hold my attention the way I had hoped. None of these books were bad, but they wouldn't be ones that I would choose to recommend to anyone on my own free will.

My 4 star reads for June were:

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

The Cellar by Natasha Preston

&

The Rooster Bar by John Grisham

I gave a 4 star rating to these books because I truly enjoyed reading them! They were fun, entertaining, and kept me guessing. I would recommend these to friends, and possibly read them again!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

These books were given 5 stars because I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM! I have already recommended them to people and plan to re-read them one day!
