I usually don't enjoy books with a HIGHLY unlikable narrator, but Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman was definitely an exception to that rule.

Eleanor is a young lady, just 30 years old, working a typical office job. She has many quirks, making her both a bit off and unique at the same time. She makes her first friend, Raymond, the IT guy at her office. Together, they develop one of the most interesting relationships I've ever read before. Eleanor has a lot of skeletons in her closet, and major mommy issues. She falls into a downward spiral of depression after infatuation with a rock star goes sour. She then seeks help from a therapist, and eventually defeats her demons, with the help of her friend, Raymond, and her therapist. The twist at the VERY end of the book left me slightly speechless.
I ended up loving this book, despite thinking that Eleanor was less than "completely fine" the entire time I was reading the book. I laughed out loud on a number of occasions as well, earning this book 4 out of 5 stars.
