Hey everyone! Allow me to introduce myself, as you have made it to my blog and probably care a little bit about the girl behind the books!

My name is Faye Weiner, and I'm a HUGE book nerd. If there's a party to attend, you know that when I'm not there, it's because I'm home for a book-related event. ie: book club meetings (and I can't wait to tell you all about the club I'm in), finishing a book, or heartbroken after finishing a book and I just need time to myself.
I've always loved reading, but recent events in my life have pushed me toward finding comfort and happiness in books.
I'm aware that this sounds like I live a sad, lonely life. That cannot be further from the truth! I have a job I enjoy, I have an amazing family, and I have the most wonderful husband. Books are simply the cherry on top of an already exciting life.
Some other things I like, other than books:
Gilmore Girls -- I'm obsessed. I've seen every episode countless times. Gilmore Girls isn't just my favorite TV show, but a way of life.
Binge Watching TV with my husband -- What can we say? We would rather stay in for the night binge watching a TV show (quarantine has been kind of ideal for us). Our most recent binges you ask? How I Met Your Mother (NPH for life) and The Big Bang Theory of course!
I enjoy spending time with my nieces (one human, one dog) and nephews. They are my world!
My cousins! -- My cousins are some of my closest friends, and if we're not in a heated game of Quiplash via Zoom or taste-testing 7-Layer cakes from around the Metro Detroit area, we're sending videos of pooping flamingo toys in our insanely amazing group chat.

But back to the reason we're here. Books. I'll tell you all about how my love for books took an exponential turn to obsession later. But know that since I started keeping track in 2018, I've read 190 books. I haven't always loved the books I choose to read...actually, there's a handful of books I wish I hadn't invested time in. But the journeys I've been on cannot be compared to anything else.
I've gone back to World War 2 France with Kristin Harmel. I've been to Alaska in the 1970's with Kristin Hannah. I've been on an extravagant date in Seattle with Christian Grey and EL James. I've also been to a rehab center that almost took my life with Liane Moriarty. And I've been tormented by a clown in the town of Derry with Stephen King.
I've been places with people that I could've never dreamed of. I've opened my eyes to other authors than Nicholas Sparks (who I LOVE, but used to think he was the only author worth reading). I've laughed, I've cried, and I've obsessed over storylines.

I know this all sounds really cheesy, but it's true.
My goal for this blog is to review the books I've read and will read. I want to take more time reflecting on what I have just experienced. Also, I want to get to the point where I feel confident in my own writing skills to maybe try my hand at a short story, or even a novel. I would also LOVE opportunities to read and review ARCs of my favorite authors!
I hope you join me on my journey! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram @fayeweinerreads
